Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience designing circuit boards (experience with PCB design and layout highly preferred) (7+ years for Senior Hardware Engineer)
- Experience with FPGA design
- Experience with Electrical CAD software packages (Altium preferred)
- Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and others)
- Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes and AS9100/ISO9001
- Knowledge of MIL, DO, and IPC standards is a plus
Responsibilities
- Component selection
- Schematic capture
- Printed circuit board design / layout
- Working on an interdisciplinary team to create the most compact and cost-effective assemblies
- Analyzing existing systems to identify flaws or inefficiencies
- Making modifications to increase computer performance
- Assessing customer needs and company standards
- Building or overseeing the assembly of prototypes
- Testing prototypes to ensure design specifications are met
- Designing support equipment and cables
- Identifying defects
- Estimating cost, reliability, and safety factors
