Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or management reporting roles
  • 5+ years of experience with Jira and Power BI
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Proven ability to define strategy and execute as both leader and individual contributor
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reporting using modern BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) and managing data pipelines
  • Strong ability to connect metrics to business context – translating operational data into executive-level insights
  • Excellent communication, visualization, and data storytelling skills
  • Experience leading small, high-performing teams, including setting priorities and coaching for growth
  • Collaborative and influential across technical, product, and business stakeholders
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in a business or quantitative discipline
  • Background in tech, product, or engineering environments with a focus on scaling data-driven decision frameworks
  • Knowledge of SQL or lightweight data modeling for analysis and prototyping
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or OKR-based portfolio management frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Define the Management Information & Reporting Strategy: Establish the long-term vision, principles, and architecture for how management information, reporting, and dashboards support portfolio and capacity decision-making
  • Be a player-coach: Lead and mentor a small team (~3–5 analysts/BI developers) while remaining deeply hands-on in shaping data models, dashboard designs, and executive-level storytelling
  • Build decision-grade data products: Design, prototype, and deliver dashboards and reports that serve as the single source of truth for program health, capacity, and delivery performance
  • Drive integration and automation: Partner with data engineering and IT to integrate data from Jira, Anaplan, and enterprise systems – ensuring seamless, real-time visibility across the PMO
  • Elevate how insights are communicated: Transform complex data into simple, compelling stories that drive alignment and action at the leadership level
  • Standardize and scale: Create frameworks for KPI definition, governance, and dashboard lifecycle management, ensuring consistency across teams and tools
  • Foster a data-driven culture: Promote insight fluency across the PMO, helping teams move from reporting to truly understanding what the data means and how to act on it
