Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of quality team leaders, auditors, and metrology lab team members, providing guidance, support, mentorship, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability
  • Lead disciplinary actions and performance evaluations for team leaders, hourly colleagues, and metrology lab staff, ensuring consistent policy application and professional development
  • Develop and implement robust quality assurance and control processes for VoC and Metrology labs, covering seating and general assembly audits, aligned with JD Powers, warranty, and internal standards
  • Analyze JD Powers data, integrate findings into VoC and metrology processes, drive continuous improvement, and communicate insights and actions to corporate and manufacturing teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate quality requirements from VoC outputs into manufacturing processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis for technical and process quality issues, implement corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teams, and report findings to management
  • Perform regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and metrology labs, especially for new car launches in VoC
  • Collaborate with supplier quality team to set and monitor quality expectations for incoming materials and components
  • Maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection procedures, and quality manuals
  • Utilize risk assessment tools to minimize risks, verify detection/prevention systems for special characteristics via VoC, and identify optimal tools/methods for equipment
  • Support FMEA development and maintenance
  • Define quality processes and technical standards for VoC with development, product management, and manufacturing teams
  • Support planning and evaluation of product test drives (BSR test track) using VoC validation data for quality approval
  • Provide quality support to technical and manufacturing teams
