At least 18 years of age
Groomer I and II qualifications
Proficient in grooming all beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain
Competent to safely operate equipment in confined spaces (< 3’)
Qualified to operate a winch cat correctly and safely, including completion of Pro Academy Winch Operator Training
Ability to safely perform advanced skills such as operating, dozing, and grading in confined areas or on steep or exposed terrain
Snowcat and grooming equipment inspection and maintenance skills
Ability to properly park machines and perform pre- and post-operation inspections of all related equipment
Demonstration of safe operation for all equipment, maintaining proper distances near obstacles, infrastructure, and personnel
Adequate operation of snowcats and all machine implements without causing excessive wear or damage, while achieving desired product efficiently
Ability to minimize downtime and prevent machine damage through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep
Ability to accurately document and report condition of grooming machinery to vehicle maintenance daily
Effective communication with vehicle maintenance personnel regarding machine condition and necessary repairs or service
Continued training and education via Pro Academy and increased experience/opportunities
Ability to operate heavy construction equipment and/or snow grading equipment with attachments with minimal direct supervision
Understanding of job function objectives and equipment capabilities to complete assignments safely, efficiently, and acceptably

Responsibilities

Operate heavy construction equipment and/or snow grading equipment with attachments to accomplish assigned job requests with minimal direct supervision
Assist the Foreman in training Journeyman operators
Follow all policies and procedures consistently
Perform snowcat and grooming equipment inspection and maintenance
Properly park machines and perform pre- and post-operation inspections
Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment while maintaining proper distances near obstacles, infrastructure, and personnel
Operate snowcats and machines efficiently without excessive wear or damage
Minimize downtime and prevent machine damage through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep
Accurately document and report grooming machinery condition to vehicle maintenance daily
Communicate effectively with vehicle maintenance personnel on machine condition and repairs
Operate machines safely and efficiently
Complete all required grooming tasks prioritizing skier safety
Navigate and properly operate grooming machines on any required terrain and travel routes
Other duties as assigned
