Responsibilities

  • Manage the regional spares deployment on a weekly basis and plan spare parts to support field engineers, distributors, and direct customers to maintain target regional fill-rate
  • Determine supply and maintain target stocking inventory levels based on usage and set targets at regional CSL (Central Stocking Location)/FSL (Forward Stocking Location); adjust targets per regional agreement and planner approval
  • Monitor service materials in-transit, investigate, and resolve in-trans materials beyond the desired number of days
  • Work closely with production planning and the repair depot to ensure customer expectations and desired service levels are met
  • Establish effective communication with supporting functions (purchasing, manufacturing planning, repair depot, engineering, quality, regulatory, customer service, document control) to resolve issues impacting spare parts service levels
  • Set target stocking levels for FRUs based on historical usage and input from product experts; maintain appropriate target and reorder points to meet business fill rate targets
  • Participate in new product launch meetings and assist in developing new product forecasts and production schedules
  • Minimize SLOB; perform excess and obsolete inventory reviews, timely dispositions of materials, and plan/reserve for EOL (End of Life) support
  • Review and implement ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), working with Engineering and Service Planning to disposition and minimize impact to SLOB and service levels
  • Analyze performance metrics for Service 3PL Regions, determine root cause and corrective action if outside tolerance (including back-orders and on-time in full customer order fulfillment)
  • Develop and further relationships with internal stakeholders
