Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field AND at least 1 year’s experience performing GIS analysis or field work OR 4 years work experience in a GIS analysis related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software suite
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Familiar with GIS programs: ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, MapsPlus

Responsibilities

  • Provide GIS, database, and IT support for Natural Resource Management projects, including data collection, repositories, processing, analytics, metrics, QC, automation, data requests, dashboards, and training on web-based and PG&E platforms
  • Deliver geospatial and tabular records in web-based and PG&E platforms (e.g., PG&E’s ArcSDE environment) within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide QA/QC reports to appropriate teams and programs on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide backups of necessary program data on a daily and weekly basis
  • Provide web-based dashboards and reporting tools within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide geospatial and tabular files, data/map products internally/externally within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide urgent ad-hoc data and analytic deliverables within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide data processing and analytical models within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide ongoing process and procedure development and documentation within 1 to 7 business days upon request
  • Provide presentation and training materials as requested
  • Provide programmatic analytics and data pulls from various data sources within and outside of PG&E (e.g., USFS data layers, weather models) within 1 to 7 business days upon request
