Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ related work experience in financial services or financial reporting
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Finance or Accounting degree preferred)
  • CPA, CA or other financial designations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs analytical review of reports for medium complexity funds for accuracy, validates results, performs control checks, resolves data issues, and requests information
  • Oversees the completion of the group’s key deliverables and reviews selected financial reports for accuracy
  • Manages dividend and capital gain distribution process and tax reporting functions as assigned
  • Analyzes financial reports, researches and resolves items that exceed established tolerance levels
  • Completes fund financial statements and reports for shareholder and regulatory reporting in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements
  • Serves as escalation point of contact for the department and shares knowledge to assist colleagues with problem resolution
  • Identifies and documents areas of control gaps, recommends improvement measures, and manages the strengthening and maintenance of the internal control framework
  • Manages policies and procedures, identifies opportunities for improvement, makes recommendations for process improvements, and ensures controls are implemented and executed to mitigate risk
  • Develops and maintains broad understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, ensures compliance, keeps current on global regulatory changes affecting fund financial statement disclosures, and works with third party service providers and auditors to develop and implement changes
  • Facilitates the fund certification process, including scheduling and preparing necessary certification documents
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
