Requirements

  • 3+ years experience working with a Rails backend
  • 3+ years experience with a front end JS framework (preferable React JSON Schema)
  • Strong experience with Python
  • A solid understanding of API design and how backend systems work
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with sprints and daily stand-ups
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance may be required)

Responsibilities

  • Working hand in hand with other engineers in building out interfaces that match designs
  • Consuming and creating data from the backend
  • Driving the direction and format of data endpoints
  • Communicating architecture choices to other team members
  • Writing code that is a pleasure for other engineers to read and understand
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills directed at both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
