Requirements

5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, including backend and frontend
Experience optimizing an application’s performance and how the browser renders views
Good understanding of MVC architectures, as well as how to use databases and data stores such as PostgreSQL and Redis
Experience using TailwindCSS (bonus: TailwindUI) to style complex UIs and make them responsive
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to commit to at least 5 hours of overlap with team’s working hours (mostly 9 am to 6 pm New York Time)
Passion for collaborating with teams, building software while nurturing inclusive and respectful relationships
Open about shortcomings, eager to grow and close knowledge gaps

Responsibilities

Build web applications using NodeJS and ReactJS that run in scalable architecture such as serverless or microservices
Research the state of the art to inform which libraries, frameworks, and tools to add to technical stacks
Employ good practices and testing to guide codebase design and organization
Be pragmatic, knowing when to take shortcuts and when to invest in reliability
Ensure any application built is secure, robust, scalable, and maintainable
