- Deep understanding of the Leuven region (Bierbeek, Bertem, Holsbeek, Huldenberg, Lubbeek & Oud-Heverlee)
- Valid Belgian driver's license (B)
- Own vehicle for travel within the region

Responsibilities
- Daily reporting on local news and events
- Creating compelling news stories, including political coverage, human-interest pieces, and police reports
- Representing HLN as the voice of the region
- Maintaining and updating regional HLN Facebook pages
- Working closely with the Antwerp-based editorial team, fellow journalists, and photographers
- Developing relationships with local stakeholders, including politicians and community members
