Requirements

3+ years of experience in fraud analysis, financial risk management, or payment processing
1+ years of relevant fraud investigation experience (highly preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
Hands-on experience with Stripe Radar, Adyen Score, or comparable fraud tools (preferred)
Strong proficiency in Excel
Strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong time management skills
Ability to draw insights from data
Judgment & Integrity: Proven track record of exercising discretion in handling sensitive financial and compliance information

Responsibilities

Prevent, identify, and address fraud at Chowbus
Serve as the subject matter expert and primary investigator for all fraud-related matters
Analyze complex data patterns, assess risk exposure, and recommend effective prevention strategies
Partner with Compliance, Finance, and Product teams to strengthen internal controls
Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the company's fraud and risk management framework
Interpret data and make strategic recommendations to optimize transaction monitoring, payout processes, and overall fraud prevention procedures
Conduct complex investigations into suspicious activity, chargebacks, and irregular transaction patterns
Prepare analytical summaries and recommendations for compliance and Finance leadership
Design and maintain fraud performance dashboards and risk reports
Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights to management
Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of advanced fraud detection tools and software systems
Collaborate with vendors and internal resources to ensure tools align with business objectives and compliance requirements
Partner with the Compliance, Product, and Finance team to ensure fraud controls align with overall business goals
Exercise discretion in resolving escalated issues with processors and merchants
