Requirements
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, specifically with Python-based systems. They should possess deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems and proficiency in asynchronous programming and API development using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django. A strong understanding of asynchronous executors and workflow management systems such as Celery and Prefect is required, along with experience in cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with message queues, event-driven architectures, and a solid grasp of security best practices in production environments is essential. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, along with experience in cross-functional team collaboration, are also necessary.
Responsibilities
The Founding Backend Engineer will design and implement scalable, high-performance Python services and APIs that interface with AI-driven workflows and orchestration. They will develop and optimize asynchronous workflows for efficient handling of complex, distributed tasks and create and maintain RESTful and webhook-based APIs for third-party integrations. This role involves architecting and building robust systems that can handle enterprise-grade workloads and security requirements, implementing and optimizing complex LLM-based workflows, and collaborating with team members to ensure system designs meet product requirements and performance expectations. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
