Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes
- Ability to stand and move continuously on hard surfaces
- Ability to frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop to examine/scan merchandise
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently; lift and move heavy/awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance
Responsibilities
- Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner; inspects forklifts prior to use and follows safety standards
- Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to/from delivery trucks; inspects and prepares trucks for unloading
- Accurately receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club
- Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets of merchandise to/from overhead steel and sales floor; prepares pallets by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets
- Transports merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; utilizes pallet jack as needed
- Stocks, rotates, and stores general and food merchandise; ensures merchandise is fully stocked
- Handles damaged and spoiled merchandise per company policies
- Maintains club neatness, cleanliness, and organization; performs general maintenance like removing trash and cardboard
- Participates in daily club openings and closings; returns merchandise to sales floor
- Greets Members, provides prompt and courteous service, assists in locating merchandise
- Maintains all club policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned and works in other departments as needed
