Requirements

  • Experience in quality assurance, quality controls, and Sanitation program execution
  • Knowledge of GFSI/SQF, USDA Organic, AMS Standards, FSMA, GMP, and related food safety regulations
  • Expertise in Food Safety Plans, Food Defense, FSVP, Sanitary Transport, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in document control, SSOPs, SOPs, internal auditing, and KPI tracking
  • Skills in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer complaint investigations
  • Ability to lead and supervise teams, including the Preparation Team in packing facilities
  • Competency in data analysis, reporting, training program development, and fostering food safety culture

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety policies and programs (e.g., internal standards, FSMA, GMP, Environmental Monitoring, Sanitation, Traceability, Non-conforming Material-Hold and Release) per SQF Standards
  • Own escalated customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, trending, and prevention measures
  • Review, investigate, and analyze customer and supplier performance feedback for root cause and corrective actions
  • Create and manage an efficient document control process using databases for Fulfillment Centers
  • Collect, analyze, summarize data, and report/monitor Food Safety KPIs to improve products, processes, and standards
  • Provide continuous feedback, coaching, evaluation, and performance reviews for employees
  • Build awareness, training, and education programs to drive cultural and behavioral changes
  • Develop and implement internal auditing programs for continuous improvement of Quality and Food Safety
  • Conduct annual reviews of Food Safety Plans, Training Material, Sanitation Processes, and Food Defense protocols against SQF requirements
  • Ensure auditors are calibrated and competent to effectively drive continuous improvement
