Requirements

Candidates must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled data, possess 5+ years of total flight software experience, 1+ years of leadership experience or a senior technical role, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, and Rust is required, along with experience in real-time systems running on distributed hardware.

Responsibilities

As the Flight Software Lead, you will design, implement, and own mission-critical software applications for satellite systems, support commissioning during launch and early operations, and ensure software systems remain functional during critical operations. You will also own spacecraft software solutions through their full lifecycle, perform unit and system-level testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and roadmaps, and balance long-term planning with short-term technical impact.
