Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms
- Experience working on brakes
- Valid Class C driver's license
- High school diploma
- Ability to clearly read, write, and speak English
- Basic math calculations
- 1+ year working experience
- Physical ability to maneuver around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces; stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, push, and pull; use hands to handle/feel; climb ladders/stairs/platforms; lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Greeting drivers on the yard in a timely, friendly manner
- Performing multi-point walk around inspections of all units
- Verifying vehicle identification and recording mileage
- Assessing exterior damage and defects, including condition of tires, frame, and mechanical components
- Checking oil and coolant levels, air filter restriction, and tire pressure
- Data entry
- Ensuring full compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards
