Responsibilities

  • Investigate and monitor high-risk customers according to regulations, risk appetite, and Wise’s policies
  • Review and monitor high-risk customer verification cases, performing due diligence using various data sources (websites, financial records, etc.) and applying a risk-based approach (RBA) to maintain quality and speed
  • Take decisive, risk-based case decisions with a clearly documented and auditable record, adhering to customer due diligence policies and applicable regulations
  • Handle escalated or complicated cases by communicating with customers with strong empathy while clearly explaining policies; represent policies and auditable work to regulators and auditors as needed
  • Analyze, re-evaluate, build, and document risk factors and risk mitigation methods for Wise's high-risk customers, escalating suspicions to the AML and Fraud teams
  • Work with team and Compliance to evolve policies and due diligence processes, continuously improving knowledge and risk management
  • Mentor and share expertise with peers
