Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and build financial models to support potential acquisition opportunities
  • Analyze the target company's operational processes, cost structures, and revenue streams to identify areas for efficiency improvements or potential integration challenges
  • Conduct comparable company analysis (Comps) and precedent transaction analysis to benchmark the target company's valuation against similar public companies and recent M&A deals
  • Use data analytics to create and test various financial scenarios, such as sensitivity analyses, to assess a deal's viability under different market conditions
  • Assemble and summarize industry data from various sources to produce reports on financial risks and expectations within the HVAC and construction industries
  • Organize and manage large volumes of confidential financial and operational data provided by the acquisition target in a secure virtual data room
  • Manage and monitor due diligence checklists and acquisition workstream timelines
  • Assist the Acquisition Controller with data gathering and analysis of transactional activity
  • Scrutinize the target company’s financial statements, tax returns, contracts, and legal documents to verify financial health and identify any potential risks or hidden liabilities
  • Assist in the preparation of discounted cash flow analyses and board presentations for acquisition opportunities, as well as ASC 805 analyses for financial reporting
  • Analyze industry data and market trends to provide context for the deal and forecast the combined company's future performance
  • Work with cross functional teams to collect and analyze information and communicate key findings
  • Support special projects and other ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
