Requirements

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 6 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budgeting and planning; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico and be within reasonable commuting distance of the office in San Juan (654 Ave Munoz Rivera)
Ability to work in-office 1-2 days per week (Monday-Friday, first shift)

Responsibilities

Lead month-close and project teams
Handle all month-close functions, including reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and related reporting
Review and approve complex accounting and financial analysis based on trends, plans, and forecasts
Lead various committees or work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document new or revised accounting processes, procedures, systems, and tracking mechanisms
Ensure requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley are met
Work on extremely complex problems/issues requiring evaluation of intangible factors, innovative solutions, and effective collaborative leadership
Mentor, train, and coach lower-level accountants
May lead teams of associates

What is the location requirement for this role?
