Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Experience in a relevant commercial/research/production establishment with recent experience using Microscopy and Electrical technology for sample characterization
  • More than 3 years of knowledge and hands-on experience with SEM/FIB is preferred
  • Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a diverse audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in analyzing complex data and effectively addressing challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams from various backgrounds
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally with possession of a valid passport
  • Must hold a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform high-quality SEM/FIB product demonstrations, developing new techniques and applications for Thermo Fisher partners and customers
  • Lead and deliver SEM/FIB application training and provide customer support
  • Cultivate positive customer relationships and act as the key technical interface for customers
  • Develop Best Known Methods (BKM) and automation recipes using Thermo Fisher tools
  • Provide continuous feedback to the product groups on customer requests, tool performance, and potential issues to influence product and market development
  • Assist the service team in resolving software and hardware concerns and work closely with factory teams to find effective solutions
  • Ensure the customized acceptance test of new tools
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customers and Thermo Fisher internal groups
  • Train and support customers including on-site training and demo in NanoPort
