Pay starts at Step 1 $28.17, Step 2 $29.27 after passing 2 of 4 tests, Step 3 $30.38 after passing 3 of 4 tests. Once all four certification tests are passed, pay moves to Step 1 of Welder scale at $32.07, Step 2 $33.26, Step 3 $34.44 plus $1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd shift.
This is an on-site position at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility in South Milwaukee, WI, with 2nd and 3rd shifts available depending on business needs.
Required qualifications include 1+ years experience with Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), experience with 3-5 Multi Pass welds on Heavy 1” Plate, experience or knowledge of back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing, and a safety first mindset.
