Must be able to obtain National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration and/or meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines for position - Required

Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction

Responsibilities

Proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and promotes RFCU mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals
Continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities (e.g., Real Estate professionals, Builders, professional and personal contacts) enhanced by regular participation in business related development opportunities
Responds to customer inquiries and referrals generated from own contacts and other business channels
Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather additional required information
Attracts new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community, and making sales calls to prospective customers
Assesses member’s needs and concerns and provides consultative services regarding mortgage products and services
Originates mortgage applications, sets customer expectations, and educates them on the entire mortgage origination process
Works with mortgage processors to keep the member and all related parties advised of the application status
Coordinates with closing area to facilitate a prompt and accurate loan closing
Identifies opportunities to increase loan origination volume to achieve defined loan growth objectives
Assists with inbound and outbound mortgage call inquiries
Participates in seminars/webinars and events to educate members and build relationships with the real estate community
Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating commitment to professional ethics, and complying with all Federal and State compliance policies
Handles member complaints through phone calls, correspondence and follow-up, utilizing knowledge of Credit Union products and services to provide solutions and ensure member satisfaction
Interacts with other departments and vendors to research and resolve problems and provide requested information
Meets members at assigned branches to take loan applications as requested
Maintains a professional image and demeanor, demonstrating Credit Union RISE Values and adhering to the Code of Ethics
Delivers friendly, caring service to internal and external members
Complies with all applicable State, Federal and NCUA rules and regulations and all Credit Union policies and procedures
Follows all physical and online security procedures and maintains strict confidentiality of all member information
Completes all required regulatory and compliance training and maintains required knowledge of Credit Union products and services
Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
