Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong sales background and experience in originating mortgage loans, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships within the real estate community. They should have a thorough understanding of mortgage products, financing processes, and regulatory requirements, including knowledge of Federal and State compliance policies.

Responsibilities

The External Originator will proactively solicit new residential mortgage business by developing relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources, and promoting RFCU mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals. They will also assess borrower needs, conduct interviews, advise customers on financing options, originate mortgage applications, and coordinate with processors and the closing area to ensure timely loan closings. Additionally, the role involves handling member inquiries, participating in community events, and maintaining exceptional customer service while adhering to all applicable regulations and Credit Union policies.
