Requirements

  • Expertise in higher education standards, particularly for BSc Digital Technology and Solutions or similar degrees in Data Analytics, Technology Consulting, and Software Engineering
  • Wealth of professional experience to provide an informed, independent view on how Multiverse’s standards compare with similar awards and assessments at other providers

Responsibilities

  • Review, provide expert feedback on, and formally approve the design of summative assessments (assignment briefs, examination papers for the degree; assessment instruments and materials for EPA) before issuance to apprentices
  • Externally moderate a sample of completed, marked, and internally moderated assessments to confirm fair, accurate, and consistent application of marking criteria
  • Observe live End-Point Assessments (e.g., presentations, practical tasks) to ensure assessors uphold national standards
  • Review EPA documentation and materials, and attend EPA Standardisation Meetings to ensure correct application of assessment criteria and upholding of national standards
  • Attend and contribute to Board of Examiners meetings (typically eight per year) for decisions on credits, progressions, and awards
  • Submit an Annual Report on apprentice performance, academic standards, assessment effectiveness, including lessons learned and actions to be taken; report confidentially to the Director of Advanced Programmes on serious concerns
  • Conduct at least one visit per cohort (virtual or in-person) to engage with assessors
