Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in apparel development (pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, materials, quality)
  • Expert in pattern making and translating patterns to written product specs and construction standards
  • Ability to act as a technical resource and mentor others; lead initiatives and project teams
  • Demonstrated skill in problem solving and results orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high workload and multiple projects
  • Proficiency with CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex)
  • Proficiency with 3D software (Clo)

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expert knowledge of pattern-making, fit, and product commercialization from start to finish for Jordan creation
  • Focus on Jordan creation for Nike within the Energy product area
  • Test, consumer or athlete validation and commercialization of Gender and Athlete focused Chassis
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge related to product fit & sizing for apparel development projects
  • Partner with NXT Digital Innovation and Global Apparel Standards team to align against size & fit
  • Partner across the business to create and execute new innovative styles
  • Work cross-functionally to validate new Jordan standards, Chassis, create specifications, libraries and tools
  • Ensure project concepts align with Gender & Sport Dimensional initiatives
  • Create and validate physical styles and virtual versions using 3D tools (CLO)
  • Report to the Director of Technical Development for Jordan Brand and work with a talented team
  • Provide technical recommendations and support to the dimensional Technical Design and Product Development community
  • Adopt and adapt new tools and processes to implement across the business
