Requirements

Candidates must have proven experience in cloud cost monitoring, analysis, or FinOps roles, with a strong understanding of the AWS cloud platform and its pricing models. Proficiency in monitoring and reporting tools like DataDog and/or Vantage, and experience with automation and scripting using Python and/or Go are essential. Solid experience with cloud tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders are also required. Nice to have qualifications include experience with cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer or third-party tools, a FinOps certification or participation in the FinOps Foundation community, and experience using ArgoCD or Flux.

Responsibilities

The FinOps Engineer will play a key role in analyzing and optimizing AWS cloud spend by monitoring and auditing cloud costs. They will use observability tools to create dashboards that provide cost visibility and transparency across multiple services in a multi-tenant ecosystem. Responsibilities include using scripting languages like Python or GO to collect and fine-grain cloud cost information, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive cost efficiency, and contributing to the development of meaningful solutions.
