  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Automation or Electrotechnics
  • Experience in electrical actioning (frequency converters and servo actioning)
  • Capable to program in PLC

Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct the electrical failures or automation equipment programs
  • Project and build automation panels
  • Train plant technicians and operators in using the equipment and systems
  • Identify and recommend changes and ways to improve the production processes and be part of new projects
  • In charge of daily troubleshooting operations for production equipment
  • Conversion and programming control equipment (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens PLC) of production systems
  • Installation and commissioning of new instrumentation, process automation and controls equipment
  • Participating in technology upgrade projects/installation of new production systems
  • Own the programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and Human-to-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) including robots, vision/detection systems, and other industrial automation
  • Provide technical direction to vendors and engineering firms throughout all phases of the project (design through construction and startup)
  • Input to project scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing plus the ability to quickly embrace and adapt to change
  • Working collaboratively with site/global engineering, technical vendors, equipment suppliers, and production site personnel
