Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in the investment management industry (including internships), with exposure to product development is preferred
  • Understanding of ETFs, asset management, and investment strategies
  • Demonstrated track record of innovation, project analysis, and ability to execute
  • Ability to manipulate and evaluate large data sets
  • Fluency in MS Office suite, with strong experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg and/or FactSet
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project analysis skills, with a keen focus on research
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior management in execution of the firm’s key projects that support the strategy, product development, strategic partnerships and other initiatives of Virtus’ ETF business
  • Perform ongoing platform gap analysis of the firm’s ETF offerings
  • Collaborate across departments on product positioning and message refinement
  • Monitor and assess activity of competitors leveraging tools such as Bloomberg and/or FactSet
  • Support new product development with an emphasis on hypothesis testing
