Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of core platform technologies, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Extend and improve engineering best practices, including infrastructure automation, SRE principles, integrated security, and developer efficiency
  • Maintain and improve a collaborative environment as a bridge between application development and platform teams; drive complex platform initiatives to completion
  • Motivate and instill ownership in the team for the end-to-end lifecycle, stability, scalability, and performance of core platform services
  • Mentor and guide professional and technical development in advanced cloud infrastructure, resilient SRE principles, and proactive DevSecOps practices
  • Ensure high-quality products and solutions through best practices like testing, observability, infrastructure as code, and security by design
  • Build and scale collaborative, inclusive, respectful teams with a culture of safety and continuous learning
  • Provide continuous, actionable feedback, address underperformance, and recognize individual strengths for career progression
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define, maintain a prioritized backlog, and establish short-term and long-term goals for the platform roadmap
  • Own team deliverables and ensure continuous delivery of scalable, highly-available, cost-efficient platform services and infrastructure
  • Work closely with recruiting to hire high-potential candidates from diverse backgrounds with expertise in cloud infrastructure
