Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in engineering management, with a focus on software development and ideally within the AI or machine learning space. Strong leadership skills and experience guiding and mentoring engineering teams are essential, along with a demonstrated ability to set technical direction and solve complex problems. Familiarity with model inference, CUDA, quantization, and parallelism is beneficial.
As an Engineering Manager - Models Team at Replicated, you will lead and grow a team of 6-8 engineers focused on packaging, optimizing, and improving generative models. You will build tools and workflows to help model creators ship their work on Replicate, push model performance further through optimizations, experiment with creative ideas to make models more useful and powerful, and encourage open-source contributions while contributing yourself. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting the direction for short-term projects and long-term bets, and ensuring the team’s success in delivering high-quality model-related features and infrastructure.
Distributes Helm charts for application management
