Requirements

  • 3+ years managing teams focused on personalization, experimentation, or growth platforms
  • Deep technical expertise in modern web technologies and personalization ecosystems, including recommendation engines, A/B testing platforms, feature flagging, and real-time data pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with core tech stack: TypeScript, Python, Node.js, GraphQL, and Next.js, including shipping production code and contributing to technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions
  • Understanding of personalization strategies, user segmentation, ML model integration, and data-driven product development
  • Strong collaborator who builds alignment between Engineering, Data, and Product teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and keep leadership informed
  • Ability to embrace change, lead through ambiguity, system migrations, and organizational shifts while maintaining focus on outcomes
  • Thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments and navigate evolving priorities

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical strategy for the Personalization Platform, collaborating with stakeholders across Data, Product, and Growth teams to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Lead technical execution, including system design, architecture, and operational excellence, to ensure reliability and scalability of personalization and experimentation infrastructure
  • Own the development of self-service tools that enable product teams to design, deploy, and analyze their own A/B tests and personalized experiences without engineering bottlenecks
  • Partner closely with the Data org to implement recommendation engines and user context APIs that drive front-end personalization across the logged-in member homepage, onboarding survey, and embedded experiences throughout the product
  • Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency systems that deliver personalized content and recommendations in real-time using technologies like Algolia, GraphQL, and edge computing
  • Stay on top of personalization and experimentation trends and innovations, ensuring the platform remains cutting-edge
