Requirements

  • Direct people management experience, including managing staffing, development, performance, and motivating engineering teams
  • Experience managing Validation Leads across electronic component products, with coaching on test plan development, execution, reporting, and learning
  • Knowledge of interactions between component verification and system-level validation teams
  • Experience managing Test Engineering for component-level lab and bench testing, including personnel safety, equipment management, lab scheduling, process documentation, test execution, and result documentation
  • Ability to provide specialized engineering technical support and consulting services related to component verification
  • Familiarity with product scope including new technology, new products, and product improvements
  • Expertise in planning and coordinating verification activities using in-house labs, machine test sites, and outsourced specialized tests
  • Skills in collaborating with engineering teams to design and build test setups (in-house or outsourced)
  • Background in electronic hardware verification, including laboratory, bench, HIL (hardware-in-the-loop), and controlled environment testing for components like inertial/angle/displacement sensors, GPS antennas/receivers, displays, and compute platforms
  • Ability to generate and mentor on comprehensive verification and validation plans for components, systems, machines, and field testing, with global collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing, development, performance, and motivation of the engineering team
  • Manage Validation Leads across CTCT’s electronic component products, providing coaching on test plan development, execution, reporting, and learning
  • Oversee interactions between component verification and system-level validation teams to ensure collaboration on end-to-end verification and validation plans
  • Manage Test Engineering for component-level lab and bench testing, including personnel safety, equipment management, lab scheduling, process documentation, test execution, and result documentation
  • Provide specialized engineering technical support and consulting services related to component verification across the organization
  • Plan and coordinate verification activities using CTCT in-house lab facilities, machine test sites, and outsourced specialized tests
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and build test setups for verification testing (in-house or outsourced)
  • Accountable for verification strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement in component verification
  • Direct day-to-day operation of CTCT’s engineering lab and equipment
  • Mentor others in creating comprehensive component, system, machine, and field testing verification and validation plans, collaborating with global teams
