Responsibilities

Lead and grow a globally-distributed API development team, ensuring a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement; mentor and develop team members across all levels
Define the team roadmap, with a focus on reliable, intelligent, and developer-friendly APIs that connect content, data, and AI; collaborate with Product and Design to craft and execute it
Work closely with stakeholders in Product, Design, Research, Infrastructure, and Security to translate business needs into technical solutions
Oversee the technical approach for integrating and scaling the platform's delivery and management APIs, ensuring performant, secure, and scalable architecture
Guide the team through solutioning, coding, testing, and deployment; ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and testing; foster a collaborative, innovative environment
Hire and mentor junior and senior developers, promoting technical excellence and building individual and team growth through hands-on leadership and feedback
Oversee day-to-day development operations, ensuring team capacity for technical tasks, maintenance, new features, and global coverage for continuous operations
Work with Product Managers to define, prioritize, and execute the roadmap, balancing user impact with business objectives; communicate goals, progress, and blockers to stakeholders
