Requirements

At least 3 years experience directly managing a team of engineers shipping products leveraging AI
Significant hands-on development experience (preferably in the AI space) and have engineered your way out of many complex, unscoped problems
Having lived the life of a senior developer before, you leverage your own experience to coach and train up the developers on your team
Successfully coordinated and delivered large scale greenfield projects before that touched multiple areas of the business, product, or underlying architecture
Able to create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work
Motivate and inspire others. After meeting with you, people get back to their job with more energy. You are a force of positivity and lift people up when they need it
Enjoy having the freedom and responsibility to make final decisions on most everything for your team. Handling tough problems gives you energy and you can make the hard decisions even when there isn’t much information to go on

Solid understanding of the AI landscape, and a clear vision for where AI is headed in the near future
Significant industry experience leading teams that are building and shipping products leveraging modern AI tooling and LLMs

Responsibilities

Hire and retain strong engineers, building a solid team that works well together
Grow a team, define a roadmap, and guide the execution of greenfield projects in the rapidly evolving field of AI
Define processes that enable the team to operate efficiently and iterate quickly towards its goals - operating like a startup within the larger company, moving fast and breaking things
Work in close partnership with product, marketing, and partnerships teams to define the roadmap, amplify the message within the industry, and collaborate with key players to expand reach and achieve objectives
Lead one of the teams in the new AI org, contributing to becoming a leading voice in the AI conversation by setting a standard for the security of AI and Agentic workflows, and exploring impactful ways to integrate AI within the product
