Requirements

  • B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience in VMware Platform Administration
  • 3+ years involved with managing Windows Server operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • 3+ years L3 Infrastructure Operational Support experience
  • Proficiency in VMware Virtualization
  • Proficiency in Windows Server OS Administration
  • Good exposure with HPE Greenlake, Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS (some or all)
  • Strong familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies
  • Valuable experience working with VMware SRM
  • Strong background in Scripting and Automation
  • Experience in working with geographically distributed teams
  • An approach committed to continuously improving processes with standard methodologies for security and cost-effectiveness
  • Ability to work in a team structure, make decisions, tackle problems, analyze, plan, coordinate, and prioritize work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to present technical information to both business and technology teams with clarity and precision

Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 operational support for Windows and VMware infrastructure
  • Handle the service management work queue to address customer requests within the established service level agreements
  • Ensure successful DR implementation, monitoring, testing of SRM deployments
  • Participate in the on-call rotation with other members to ensure support coverage for the global windows infrastructure
  • Find opportunities to improve the infrastructure by implementing the standards that have been established by the Global Systems Reliability team
  • Ensure the highest possible level of server uptime and availability by proactively identifying and fixing infrastructure related problems
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and maintenance activities
  • Bring automation to improve efficiency
