Requirements

  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in Mainframe Batch & Console operations
  • Knowledge and use of job scheduling software - CA-7 / CA-11 products
  • Proficient in z/OS environment – MVS, JES2, ISPF, JCL
  • Knowledgeable about fundamental instructions on MVS, JES2, DB2, and CICS
  • Familiarity with PRE/POST IPL Process – Shutdown/Startup procedures for IDMS, DB2, and CICS
  • Ability to handle console messages, WTOR’s, and resolve contention issues
  • 2-year technical education beyond high school, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both
  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Reliable, dependable, and flexible to changing shifts
  • Ability to learn new technologies in support of the job
  • Proven ability to balance multiple tasks in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated initiative and follow-through with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive relationship and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel to other sites if needed
  • Compliance with SOX, PCI, FDA, and other regulatory agencies/policies; assemble and retain appropriate artifacts for audit purposes and adhere to Global IT Policies & Procedures
