Position Overview

CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, dedicated to protecting the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Our mission since 2011 has been to stop breaches, and we have redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We serve customers across all industries, ensuring their businesses run smoothly, their communities remain safe, and their lives move forward. CrowdStrike fosters a mission-driven culture that offers flexibility and autonomy, empowering every team member to own their careers. We are seeking talented individuals with boundless passion, a relentless focus on innovation, and a fanatical commitment to our customers, community, and each other. Join us and contribute to a mission that matters – the future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role

We are developing the next generation of CrowdStrike's platform UI, codenamed Kestrel. This initiative involves creating new UI and backend features designed to help customers "Stop the Breach" by unifying data across security domains, streamlining access to critical security information, and enabling users to personalize their experience based on their roles.

In this role, you will be instrumental in innovating, building, and maintaining critical backend features that support the Kestrel platform. Additionally, you will maintain existing services written in Node.js, which manage dynamic content and localization within our console, acting as a bridge between our Cloud (Go Lang) services and our front-end UI applications.

We are looking for individuals with experience in distributed technologies, strong API and systems design sensibilities, and a passion for writing high-performance code at scale. You will collaborate closely with multiple backend teams, core service teams, and UI + backend feature teams to bring these features to fruition.

If this challenge excites you and your experience and technical skills align with our needs, we encourage you to submit your resume for a conversation.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
  • Triage system issues and debug by analyzing the root causes and their impact on service operations.
  • Continuously re-evaluate our products to improve architecture, testing coverage, knowledge models, user experience, performance, observability, and stability.
  • Partner with product teams to understand their needs, collaborate with Product Managers to document new requirements, and implement these new features within our feature services.

What You’ll Use

  • NodeJS
  • TypeScript
  • Go (Golang)

What You’ll Need

  • A Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems).
  • Proven ability to scale backend systems, with a strong understanding of sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
  • A drive to ship code and satisfaction in seeing your work operate in production.
  • A solid understanding of distributed systems and the challenges associated with scalability.
  • Excellent team player skills, with a commitment to collaborative work.
  • A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including appropriate testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
  • The skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested, code-reviewed software that is regularly checked in for continuous integration.

Bonus Points

  • Exposure to Go, AWS, and Jenkins.
  • Experience working on security products.

Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike

  • Remote-friendly and flexible work culture.
  • Market leader in compensation and equity awards.
  • Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs.
