Requirements

  • Successful software automation testing experience working in a corporate environment
  • Typical candidate has a BE/B.Tech with 5 or more years of meaningful experience
  • Solid understanding of Test Framework with Python and SmartBear's TestComplete
  • Experience in windows based desktop application automation
  • Experience in any of the Test management tools (like JIRA, qTest, ALM etc)
  • Good experience in Github, Jenkins
  • Experience building and managing relationships with test engineers on a distributed team with fluent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban and related tools such as Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Good to have experience of Cucumber testing for Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Good to have experience in Web Application and API automation with CI/CD
  • Good to have testing awareness for cybersecurity threats (OWASP Top 10)

Responsibilities

  • Creating repeatable test cases against the application under test with traceability to acceptance requirements by employing the automation framework
  • Review manual testing procedures for automation opportunities with developers and users
  • Review test results and bug details with development team for feedback
  • Create test scenarios that exercise multi facets of the functionality, including boundary cases, invalid data, security considerations such as SQL injection, and so on
  • Participate in Scrum team meetings and follow SDLC requirements for ticket management, testing artifacts, and documentation
