Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- PE license or EIT certification preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in facilities engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with HVAC, boilers, compressed air, chilled water, and utility systems
- Experience in designing fluid and air piping systems and HVAC duct work and controls
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and communication abilities
- Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Design and specify mechanical systems for new and existing facilities
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and reliability
- Support layout planning and utility infrastructure for new equipment installations
- Lead mechanical scope for facility expansion and upgrade projects
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
- Review and approve technical drawings, submittals, and commissioning plans
- Partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies for critical systems
- Monitor system health using BMS and CMMS tools
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local codes, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Support audits, inspections, and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Promote a culture of safety and sustainability in all facility operations
