A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related experience is required, along with over 2 years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack. Proficiency in developing reliable and scalable solutions, excellent command of Object-Oriented languages like Java, and a proven track record in Java and the Java Spring boot framework are essential. Experience with RESTful architecture, micro-services, cloud-based services (AWS/GCP), modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform), ops tools (New Relic, Splunk), messaging technologies (Kafka/SQS), and test automation at all levels are also required. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
The Engineer 2 will apply scientific, mathematical, and social principles to design, build, and maintain technology products, systems, and solutions that enhance customer experiences and meet business needs. This role involves planning and developing robust, maintainable, and reusable code for managing functionality, configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security, and alerting across various environments. Responsibilities include developing and enhancing automated test cases and deployment procedures, designing, prototyping, and building solutions with a delivery mentality, and understanding business/stakeholder/technical requirements. The engineer will assist in analyzing existing solutions, creating functional designs, assessing gaps, and analyzing defects to prevent recurrence. They will also lead and enforce engineering standards, contribute to their improvement, and support the reliability of solutions and systems with an operational mindset, always prioritizing the customer experience and quality through test-driven development.
