Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in development and design of electrical assemblies

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and evaluate Customer product specifications
  • Evaluate and determine feasibility of product proposals, including analyzing customer specifications and engineering factors (tolerances, material strengths, mechanical parts, forces, electrical currents, illumination factors)
  • Schedule, attend, and facilitate meetings, discussions, and presentations regarding design
  • Standardize components, product assemblies, and engineering methods to ensure cost-efficient manufacturing
  • Plan and develop experimental test programs
  • Collect and analyze engineering test results
  • Prepare test reports and additional documentation for customer presentations
  • Collaborate with Prototype, Quality, and Production engineers, including directing manufacturing of product prototypes for testing and evaluation, and providing product and technical support to production and Quality departments
  • Communicate all engineering documentation and requests to Tokai-Rika Japan
  • Research and evaluate competitor’s products and technologies, perform benchmarking, create cost-reducing ideas, review competitors' products, track market trends and new technologies, attend trade and auto shows
  • Complete assigned special projects
  • Continuously participate in seminars and training classes, mentor, guide, and advise Design Engineers I
  • Ensure accurate meeting minutes are kept and supervisor is updated on all Customer visits
