Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience within an electronic component discipline
  • Knowledge of electronic suppliers especially in semi-conductors
  • Appreciation of REACH and RoHS regulations
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Pro-activeness and self-motivation to improve self, improve process, and get the job done
  • British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (Security Clearance requirement)
  • Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Manage Electronic Components
  • Assess market trends and technical risks
  • Provide technical advisement to stakeholders across the business (Projects, Engineering teams, Procurement, Customer Service Support, etc.)
  • Provide technical advice and reporting on risks
  • Work with suppliers and understand business needs
  • Maintain expertise in specialist areas (Electronics or RF semiconductor specialism)
  • Pass expertise to others through design reviews, training, and development activities
  • Support and lead international collaboration, define best practice, and manage adoption/adherence of methodologies
