Responsibilities

  • Interact with certification authorities to define lightning, RF and EMI requirements
  • Coordinate and perform aircraft-level electromagnetic tests
  • Coordinate equipment and system level tests with various design teams
  • Collect test results and prepare reports required for certification
  • Document best-practice EMI design guidelines for designers
  • Provide design and testing support to other design teams on electromagnetic effects (EMI, HIRF, Lightning and static)
  • Act as subject matter expert providing design guidelines and assistance in test preparation and execution
  • Conduct certification and research projects to improve design practices using test facilities
