Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four (4) years or more relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without need for employment visa sponsorship
  • (Preferred) Ten (10) years in industrial electrical systems (refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing)
  • (Preferred) Three (3) years in supervision/leadership
  • (Preferred) Experience with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
  • (Preferred) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • (Preferred) Experience with SAP

Responsibilities

  • Supervises electrical maintenance craft employees
  • Executes preventive and corrective maintenance work safely and effectively in an environmentally compliant manner following all policies and procedures
  • Facilitates the optimal utilization of plant maintenance resources to support the operation of the facility and ensure the availability of the electrical systems and infrastructure
  • Promotes safe work practices by conducting safety meetings, conducting daily toolbox and other safety meetings, participating in safety audits and incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations
  • Provides technical support to electrical technicians, reliability engineers, advisors, and on-call support
  • Reviews PM plans to ensure frequency, plan steps, and hours are correct and modify as necessary
  • Recommends the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies for the department; assists the Planner and Material Coordinator to manage warehouse stock; identifies obsolete stock, necessary quantity changes, and new or upgraded parts to be added to stock
  • Monitors the daily condition of the electrical system, including the power system and the electric tracing systems throughout the refinery; manages calibration and certification of electrical test equipment
  • Reviews weekly and daily schedule to ensure all pre-maintenance activities have been completed (i.e. scaffolding, temporary equipment etc.) to prevent delays to work activities scheduled
  • Collaborates with operations to develop, resource load, and ensure execution of all maintenance or maintenance related electrical work is performed and completed in a safe and efficient manner to meet production; adapts to changing operational priorities and shifts resources appropriately to provide support; coordinates emergent work with vendors and supply chain to meet operational timelines
  • Serves as the local champion of the corporate Electrical Safe Work Practice
  • Provides daily progress report on technician activities to Maintenance leadership and Operations
  • Understands this job is in production-centered support of a 24/7 operation and may require additional time and resources
