Requirements

Completion of annual training and/or IEC Instructor Certification course(s)
Proficiency in using the IEC National Curriculum
Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop a syllabus and speak to groups
Developed classroom management skills for maintaining order and discipline
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures, including eye protection and proper lockout/tagout procedures

Responsibilities

Deliver PowerPoint presentations, visual aids, and partner member training utilizing the IEC National Curriculum
Develop lesson plans to ensure all learning objectives are covered in each class
Conduct hands-on learning exercises related to the IEC National Curriculum
Provide technical support and supervision to apprentices
Communicate effectively with students, helping them develop good study habits
Complete administrative work on time, including grade submissions and attendance records
Attend instructor meetings as required (monthly and annually)
Prepare and conduct hands-on learning exercises
Enforce Electrical Safety Procedures
Provide extra help to students outside of class time, as needed
Complete other duties as required and seek assistance when needed
