  • High level of personal, organizational, and personal relationship skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline-related project and engineering documentation
  • Good organizational skills, following policies, procedures, and work practices
  • Ability to optimize resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) for efficient and timely completion of work
  • Familiarity with all company safety procedures, regulations, and strict enforcement
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift 50-150 lbs, carry up to 100 lbs up to 400 feet, push/pull, climb ladders/stairs/scaffolds, maintain balance on uneven surfaces, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Responsibilities

  • Leads and controls electricians engaged in all activities for assigned projects
  • Optimizes resources (personnel, equipment, materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion within scope
  • Develops excellent working relationships with work crews and all Capital City Electrical Services personnel
  • Develops two-to-three week look-ahead schedules for assigned projects
  • Projects estimated hours to completion for work tasks
  • Monitors and responds to project budget constraints; participates in weekly cost-to-complete meetings
  • Gives efficient and effective instructions to workforce
  • Coordinates with other trades' leadership for optimum work utilization and project completion
  • Recognizes "out of scope" work and submits RFIs to Project Manager
  • Leads and supervises workers on industrial, commercial, and maintenance projects (installation, repairs, testing)
  • Ensures work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials
  • Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials, and tools
  • Supervises crew to best utilize personnel and materials
  • Exercises discipline strategies to prevent absenteeism, unsafe practices, and idleness
  • Complies with and enforces highest level of safety during all project stages to avoid incidents/accidents
  • Takes reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others
  • Other duties as assigned
