Responsibilities

Develop test plans, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure functional and performance compliance, taking full ownership of the assigned task
Design, model, simulate power electronics systems
Design prototype, debug, and perform fault analysis for power electronic systems hardware (inverters/converters), and optimize
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure smooth transition from design to validation and production
Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate design
Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations
Perform design validation under various operating conditions (temperature, voltage, load profile, EMI/EMC)
Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams for design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM)
Maintain rigorous safety protocols during high-voltage testing activities
Design and develop power conversion systems for advanced power products, including off-board DC chargers, automated and manual connection systems, bi-directional inverters, and related controls/operational interfaces
Collaborate with cooling, battery, power conversion, and controls teams along with purchasing and validation teams
Responsible for the design and performance quality of charging systems from development through production
