Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure functional and performance compliance, taking full ownership of the assigned task
  • Design, model, simulate power electronics systems
  • Design prototype, debug, and perform fault analysis for power electronic systems hardware (inverters/converters), and optimize
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure smooth transition from design to validation and production
  • Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate design
  • Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations
  • Perform design validation under various operating conditions (temperature, voltage, load profile, EMI/EMC)
  • Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams for design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM)
  • Maintain rigorous safety protocols during high-voltage testing activities
  • Design and develop power conversion systems for advanced power products, including off-board DC chargers, automated and manual connection systems, bi-directional inverters, and related controls/operational interfaces
  • Collaborate with cooling, battery, power conversion, and controls teams along with purchasing and validation teams
  • Responsible for the design and performance quality of charging systems from development through production
