Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in automotive, robotics, or industrial automation
  • Strong understanding of DC power distribution, grounding, and protection principles
  • Working knowledge of automotive and industrial communication protocols
  • Proficiency with EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar ECAD tools
  • Experience creating production-ready documentation and collaborating with suppliers or contract manufacturers
  • Solid problem-solving and diagnostic skills during integration and testing
  • Excellent teamwork and communication in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system-level electrical documentation (Power, Network, and Connection Diagrams)
  • Design and document 12V / 48V power distribution systems, including protection, grounding, and redundancy
  • Define and maintain interfaces between compute units, controllers, sensors, and actuators
  • Integrate and validate automotive and industrial communication networks — CAN, Ethernet (both BaseT and BaseT1), RS-485, Modbus, IO-Link, and discrete I/O
  • Select and qualify connectors, cables, and interface components (M8/M12, DT, D-sub, etc.) to meet environmental and EMI requirements
  • Prepare and release production-ready harness and interconnect documentation (pinouts, routing data, connection tables)
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Embedded, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity and serviceability
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and system validation during testing
  • Provide manufacturing support, review production builds, and drive continuous design improvements
