Requirements

  • Advanced troubleshooting and analysis skills to resolve complex development and field issues and improve performance and cost

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for launch requirements, design, development, validation and release of electrical and electronic components and systems for Aftermarket products
  • Develop production Aftermarket Kits designed for dealer installation on customer machine and engine fleets
  • Develop, improve, and troubleshoot electronic/electrical hardware used in engine and machine systems
  • Perform development of product requirements, analysis and simulation, electronic component selection, schematic/layout development, and platform verification and validation
  • Work with suppliers including manufacturing plan and process development
  • Perform complex analysis work, identify design problems, and resolve problems
  • Work closely with Engine and Machine System/Subsystem team members to understand application requirements and performance needs
  • Coordinate embedded software activities with appropriate teams for components where platform includes software
  • Support and lead team activities including FMEAs, Field Technician Risk Assessments, validation plans, and visits to customer sites as needed
  • Maintain and support current production hardware through the platform lifecycle including obsolescence management
