Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or related technical discipline
  • Industrial Hygiene Management Technician certification or nurse license (qualifying for Health Manager appointment)
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as health officer/manager in multinational companies (or enterprise health management role)
  • Compliance experience with Health and Safety regulations in Korea
  • Proven project and program management skills
  • Excellent leadership, program and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English communication skills (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with GEHC and local environmental, health and safety standards and regulations
  • Lead the implementation and validation of GEHC environmental, health and safety frameworks
  • Provide health and safety guidance and compliance support to management team
  • Assist management in executing health & safety priorities, metrics, goals and requirements
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance and programs
  • Drive improvements in organizational health and safety culture, awareness, and accountability
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans
  • Provide leadership, support and training to build technical, management and leadership skills of management team in health and safety
  • Maintain site health and safety metrics and work cooperatively with HQ on various projects and initiatives
  • Using GEHC environmental, health and safety digital tools, conduct data mining to identify program trends and develop corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct employee training and maintain records
  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all health and safety issues, understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast site impacts
  • Perform the duties of a Health officer as prescribed by KOSHA, including managing health examinations, MDS Prevention Management, PPE Management, and MSDS Management
  • Manage and provide guidance on chemicals in compliance with K-Reach, the Chemical Control Act, KOSHA regulations
